Terms of service

In short: a free tool made by an enthusiast, with no account and no advertising. Use it however you like, including for a campaign that earns you something. It draws maps and does some arithmetic about travel and sight: the last word on what happens at the table is always the referee's, not the program's. There is no guarantee that it works, that it stays online, or that what you drew will still be there tomorrow.
Who offers it, and to whom
The service is offered by TirateIniziativa as non-commercial fan content. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it — there is nothing else to do, because there is no account to close.
What it costs, and what it asks
Nothing and nothing. No payment, no sign-up, no advertising and no personal data collected — the privacy notice goes into the detail.
The numbers are an opinion, not a referee
Travel times, distances, weather, what the party can see from where it stands: these are formulas applied to the map you drew. They help you decide; they do not decide. A crossing the app calls two days can take four given the season, and a hex it calls visible may be hidden by something you never painted: the referee knows things the program does not, and what happens to the game stays their responsibility.
Your material is yours
The maps, the places and the notes you write remain yours. We acquire no rights over them and do not read them. Outside a shared session we keep no copy at all; while a session is live the map passes through our server so your players can see it, and it is deleted when the session ends — the privacy notice says exactly how and for how long. If you connect Google Drive, the files land in your Drive and your agreement with Google applies to them.
What you put on the map
You can load a background image. Use images you have the right to use: what you load is your responsibility, and if you share a session it reaches whoever you gave the code to. We do not review it, and we could not — the session deletes itself.
Availability, and no warranty
The service is provided as is. There is no promise that it is free of errors, that it is always reachable, that the maps you drew will not be lost — they live in your browser, and clearing site data deletes them — or that it will remain available: it may change or close without notice. Take your exports; that is what they are for.
To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for damages arising from the use or the failure of the service. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that the law grants and that cannot be excluded by contract.
Fair use
Use it to play. Do not try to break it, overload it, distort the visit counter, open sessions you do not intend to play, or harvest data from it automatically. This is not red tape: it is a free service running on a free tier, and whoever exhausts it takes it away from everyone.
Third-party content
The Dungeons & Dragons material this tool is built around belongs to Wizards of the Coast; this is unofficial fan content permitted under the Fan Content Policy, not approved or endorsed by Wizards. The maps that ship with the app are fan renderings of published settings, drawn to be used beside the adventures they come from, and they carry none of their text. The full wording is in the legal notice inside the app.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use the service after a change counts as acceptance.
